In my early twenties, I practiced meditation within various traditions before discovering yoga. I spent time on many meditation retreats within the Uk and abroad. I started practicing yoga soon after and found that the practices had a powerful influence on my health and wellbeing. I was drawn to the power of the physical practices and the impact on the mind. Yoga is so much more than a set of physical postures and there are many different practices within yoga therapy that can restore a sense balance to the body and mind. I have practiced within many different traditions and trained to teach in 2015. I am particularly interested in Aurvedya, breathwork, neuroscience, organ health, hormonal balance, nervous system regulation, energy flow and how yoga can support us in daily life. Teaching yoga is so rewarding and it is a real pleasure to share these ancient practices with my students. Alongside my yoga training and practice, I have worked in healthcare as a therapist for many years and have a sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology, rehabilitation and recovery and the therapeutic value of activity. I am also a keen runner and find that yoga helps me to restore and recover.
